With the need of the hour immunity building to save oneself from the surging CORONA Virus outbreak, no doubt you should be taking extra care of yourself and your family members. I am thereby sharing the recipe for an age old Indian household regime. That’s Immunity Booster Kaadhaa or Herb Concoction to clear your throat off any viruses that can make it feel sore. In this case it would help in cleansing it from virus that can lead to Covid19!

You can practice having this immunity booster Kaadhaa or Herb Concoction as the first thing you have in the morning and also as the drink that you should have once you are back from outside! (Good to make 4 cups of Kaadhaa)

Water – 6 cups, approx.

Adrak(Ginger) – almost 1 inch long piece

Kali Mirch(Black Pepper Corns) – 5 to 6

Ajwain(Carom Seeds) – 1/2 tsp

Dal-Chini(Cinnamon) – 1/4 tsp or a 1/4 inch long piece

Laung(Clove) – 1 piece

Chini(Sugar) – 2 tsp, optional (You can also try putting Jaggery(Gud) if available)


Take a sauce pan and add water to it, put it over a high flame, while the comes to a boil, take a small Pounder(Okhli) and add – Ginger, Pepper corns, Carom seeds, Clove, Cinnamon and make a coarse mixture. Add this mixture to the boiling water and lower the flame.

Add sugar or jaggery to the pan, and let it be over the flame for next 10 minutes. After that strain the Immunity Booster Kaadhaa or Herb Concoction into four cups and consume hot/warm!
