Would you mind having tacos at home if I tell you that Roti Tacos can be made at home and that too with even a left over roti from last night’s dinner?  Yes, you heard it right. I am sharing with you a recipe for Roti Tacos which can be made using left over rotis and even leftover pasta.

The recipe is very simple yet tasty and takes very less time for preparation…..you can have it whenever you want to have something tasty but you are running out of time.

So let’s get started….

  • Preparation Time: 15 min
  • Cooking Time: 15 min
  • Serves 2 Roti Tacos
  • Tbsp = Table Spoon
  • Tsp = Tea Spoon

Ingredients:

Roti – 2

Cheese (Mozzarella or normal) – ½ cup, grated

Pasta (optional) – you can use your leftover pasta

Shimla Mirch (Capsicum) – ¼, finely chopped

Gajar (Carrot) – about 1 inch, finely chopped

Tamatar (Tomato) – ¼, finely chopped

Pyaz (Onion) – ¼, finely chopped

Hari Mirch (Green chilly) – 1, finely chopped

Salt – ½ tsp

Oil – about 1 tbsp

Ketchup – 2 tbsp

Kali Mirch (Black pepper) – 2 to 3, powdered

Oregano – ½ tsp

Mayonaise – 1 tbsp

Paneer (Cottage Cheese) – 1/2 cup, diced into small pieces

Methodology:

Take a frying pan and put it over medium flame, add ½ tbsp oil to it, when the oil is hot, add the chopped vegetables, paneer and sauté nicely.

Once done, add black pepper powder, salt, oregano, mayonnaise, already cooked pasta and give them a good mix.

Secondly, remove the frying pan from the flame, now place a non- stick tawa over a medium flame. When the tawa is hot spread a few drops of oil and put a roti over it, once it is starts turning dark brown, flip and repeat for other side.

Next, spread the grated cheese over the roti, followed by the vegetable mix and ketchup. Now, fold the roti from the center into half and remove from the flame once the cheese has melted in it.

Now, repeat the same process for the other roti as well, your Roti Tacos are ready to be served with love and sauce of your choice!
