The Super Healthy Beetroot Raita

Beetroots are rich source of Iron, help in maintaining healthy weight, good source of Potassium and even help in preventing cancer. It is very beneficial for those who suffer anaemia.

This is a very simple recipe and can be consumed during summers or even winters. It can clubbed with the regular meal or even can be taken solely if you are on diet

The preparation time is 15min and it takes 5min to make! This preparation is good to serve 3-4 people.

Ingredients:

Grated Beetroot- 1 cup

Chilled Curd- 3 cups

Black Pepper Powder- 1 pinch

Salt- According to Taste

Chaat Masala- 1 pinch

Finely chopped Coriander leaves- a few strands

Finely chopped Green Chillies- 1

For Tadka-A pinch of Mustard Seeds + 1 tea spoon of oil (of your choice) + 1 dried Red Chilly

Method:

  1. Take the grated Beetroot in a big bowl, add curd, chopped coriander and green chillies to it and mix well.
  2. To this mixture add- Salt, Black Pepper and Chat Masala(you can skip any of these according to your wish)
  3. Now take the oil of your choice( prefer Mustard Oil) in a serving spoon, keep it over a medium flame and add Mustard seeds, break and add the dried Red Chilly, when it starts to crackle, add this spoon to the prepared mixture and cover it!

Keep it covered for a minute. Serve it chilled!
